These steps of "modernization" of the brake system are also possible at a later date: - Replacement of the early 230SL-HBrZ (2 outlets) with the picture number 10 shown here (230SL with 3 outlets), please note the routing of the cables. (Workshop manual and catalogue image brake lines). - Replacement of the unavailable, early brake boosters in the last (and largest) version T52-9: Installation space and push rod will fit the hydraulic cylinder, but modifications to adjacent parts will need to be made: Pivot bolt pedal lever, bearing block at bellows, vacuum connection.
