In this illustration: the LHD double tube version (continuous double pipe) was used from the injection model 250SE W108 or W111 and thereafter for all 280S/SE as a modernization/successor of the one-pipe plant (types up to 250S). Since no longer all parts are available from industrial after-production, adaptation can be useful:
-Combination clamped components with those intended for welding
-Conversion of front or middle tubes to other ground platform (convertible) for adaptation
-Conversion of SE front tubes for adaptation to carburetor models.
